"One of the great achievements in baseball is becoming a member of the vaunted and exclusive 500 home run clubs, as less than one percent of those privileged to have played Major League Baseball since 1876 have reached that plateau. The 500 Home Run Club pays special tribute to those who have worked hard enough and been blessed to attain one of baseball's most magical milestones." |

"It's quite an honor to hit 500 major league home runs because very few athletes are fortunate enough to play at that level or stay healthy long enough to achieve this great feat. Every player remembers how they felt when they hit their first home run when they were a kid ; then again in high school, college, and organized baseball... you light up like a Christmas tree. But only a few can say they reached the 500 home run mark, and that's something really special." |
