The Sultan of Swat starred in series of short films called “Fancy Curves”

George Herman “Babe” Ruth was the first sports star to make the cross over to a mainstream movie star, but he didn’t let him distract him from his first love…knocking home runs out of major league ballparks across the nation.

In 1932, The Babe starred in a series of short films in which he taught the basics of baseball to a group of sorority girls, in order to teach them how to beat the frat guys on the opposing team.

See the video below to enjoy quick lessons on hitting, pitching and playing the field…all courtesy of The Bambino and his bevy of young beauties.

Watch closely and you’ll even see Ruth dress up as a “babe” to take a turn at the plate, when the game is on the line in the bottom of the ninth inning.
